How Family & Consumer Sciences Will Impact Your Future
FCS courses use current research, experiential activities, and technology to help students develop the essential knowledge and skills to lead better lives, be work and career ready, build strong families, and make meaningful contributions to our communities. Students who are enrolled in FCS courses at Crete High School have the opportunity to relate their learning to FCCLA. Most classes provide a framework for students to start STAR Event projects.

How FCCLA Opportunities Can Benefit You
Students who are involved will go through the experience of working together as a chapter. Through projects and discussions, members will gain insights of leadership and practice their skills. Through competitive events, the students will learn about public speaking, teamwork, and time management. Getting involved in FCCLA will help students grow as an individual with technical and social skills. Being a part of this chapter will not hurt the students in any way, but benefit the students through various skills and diverse knowledge about their family, career, and community.

How To Give Back To Your Community and School
Students who are involved in FCCLA receive many opportunities to give back to the foundation that has been supporting them. Since FCCLA is focused on the community, our chapter focuses on projects that would give back to others. The chapter is mainly driven by the members and what they want to focus on. Our Crete chapter appreciates the community of Crete and everybody at school that helped us create a new chapter; therefore, our main mission to help our community and school as much as possible. If you are a student that has a passion to give back to your community or Crete Public Schools, join FCCLA as our chapter will try our best to help you fulfill your passion of giving back!
